The Superior Court of Justice in Ontario hears Criminal, Family Law and Civil Litigation cases. Very serious indictable offences such as murder, manslaughter, and drug trafficking are heard in this court. If your case is to be decided by a Jury it will be heard here. Civil claims with a monetary value of over $35,000.00 go to this court.The Divisional Court is a branch of the Superior Court of Justice and is one of the busiest appellate courts in Canada. This Court hears statutory appeals from administrative tribunals such as the Landlord and Tenant Board, in the province, and is the primary forum for judicial review of government action in Ontario.
